Symptoms of Gout
So what are the symptoms of Gout? Well the obvious symptoms start off with pain; this pain is usually centered on the joints of the big toe or foot. You can also see swelling around the joint which can also turn slightly red and radiate heat. These are the common symptoms of gout.
The pain is due to the build up of Uric acid in the joints and soft tissues surrounding the joints. Uric acid is a waste product and is formed by the breakdown of substances called Purines. As well as being found naturally in your body, they can be found in specific foods, especially in organ meats such as kidney, liver and brains.
Normally Uric acid dissolves in the blood and is excreted through the kidneys, if there is a problem however with this process then body can end up with too much Uric acid. Because of this sharp crystals can form around the joints causing pain to the patient.
Symptoms of Gout can also be found in the legs and fingers. It has been describes as walking on ‘broken glass’ due to the sharp Uric crystal that form in these joints. The pain can occur either constantly or just when pressure is applied to the joint and can be caused by other medications such as high blood pressure or heart medication.
When I had symptoms of gout it was very painful. I was prescribed drugs by my doctor which worked for a while. However my gout returned much to my dismay but the next time it was more painful. That is when I looked into the symptoms of gout, I discovered that after the first attack, the frequency of attacks would increase and last longer. After I got my second attack, enough was enough. I found help from Dr Jeffery Sands DDS who allowed me to overcome this painful condition and free myself from the symptoms of gout to this day!
I would recommend his advice as I know he successfully helped me, and how he has helped countless many others. Don’t suffer the excruciating pain of gout. Alleviate the symptoms of gout and be free from this awful condition forever.
